Pharmaca | 4130 East Madison

Painter& Glass Artist. When I paint, I prefer simple compositions. This allows me to express with color a fun, even humorous, view of life. When I can say a painting gives me a happy feeling, I know that I have reached my goal. This is why I think my major influences have been the French fauvist especially Matisse and Dufy. I have been inspired by many trips to France and the freedom their culture allows the arts. I live to share this joie de vie.

Painter. I studied at the University of Illinois, and briefly at Oxford Poly, England. I’ve resided in Madison Valley since 1992. The real places featured in my paintings begin as panels of acrylic color that come alive with layers and details. The wallpaper in my work brings texture and pattern to the paintings,
adding a new dimension and inviting the viewer to look more closely. I believe that art should be aesthetically pleasing, as well as meditative, calming, evocative and inspiring.
