Noise Related to Sample Drilling
Monday, Mar 7, 2011Night drilling for the 520 bridge project will continue through fall 2011.
During night work, activities will include placing and removing equipment. In addition to the existing sound of freeway traffic, you may hear construction equipment, back-up alarms and vehicles entering and exiting the work zone.
While drilling, the machine will sound similar to ambient noise from the freeway. Residents may also hear a hammering sound during soil sampling.
